This delightful château built of stone and pink brick, a craze in the 18th century, is the work of the best architects of the time, in particular Boffrano, who built the Hôtel Soubise in Paris. The mansard roof gives it great charm. This is one of the most beautiful châteaux of the whole reign of Louis XV.

The underground settlement of Naours
The underground settlement of Naours
The 28 galleries and 300 chambers hollowed out of the limestone of the Picardy plateau could accomodate 3000 people and all their livestock.
This underground city was used by the British during the First World War, and as a headquarters by German forces during the Second World War.
